I’m started at a new company mid-week with no break between my old and new job. What can I do to refresh my mind, be inspired and in the right headspace for this new role so I can give it my best?

Most likely, they won’t onboard you onto another project until at least a week. First couple of days will be HR/Talent stuff.

Take that time to clean your apartment and workspace so it’s feels fresh and new. Go on a lot of walks. Make the most of your mornings. Meditate. Maybe start reading that book that’s been sitting on your nightstand?

I’ve done this and it was hard for me. But take walks and really coast as much as much as you can in the beginning to reset yourself. For a CW, you need a clear head or it shows in the copy. Best of luck!

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.

I'm at a career juncture and have decided on a career in anti-money laundering as my new path. I'm also highly interested in additional education to further my career and am eyeing graduate school. Which is best? A law degree or a master's in international relations? Those are where my interests lie. I keep reading that JDs are valued in compliance but am wondering if a different graduate program is better for my goals. I already plan to obtain the CAMS certification. Thank you!

Anybody have any tips on how to go about the relocation conversation? I’m looking to move out of the city with our main office to a city with a much smaller office. I read a lot of posts here about difficult bosses, difficult clients, difficult partners, terrible briefs and terrible agencies. All that might be true. But it’s getting old. What I’d be interested in hearing about are the stories of how people have overcome the challenges. How did you sell that big idea? How did you fix a relationship? The world is not going to get easier. So maybe we can help each other get better at dealing with it. Who had a win recently? How did you do it?
