How does one find a headhunter?
Hi all, Recently i interviewed at Adobe for the post of computer scientist, Noida location. Had 5 technical rounds, but after that i didnt get any further response. One of HR called me and asked me to wait for a day or 2 last week, she gave me the reason that there are some issues going on in company. It's been 2 weeks now and i haven't got any response from them, i have been following up on mail and call, but there is no response either. What could be the reason ?? Any adobe folk out there ??

Check out SAPs early talent program. They have sales as well as consulting (with associate PM roles) usually they let you be remote but they have a houston office. Usually the training is onsite for x amount of weeks then you back back to your home office. But they could’ve change it to remote. It’s been years since I went through the program. Houston SAP office has lots of oil and gas customer focus
DM me. Happy to help as a veteran as well.
Just DM you.
The market and economy right now is shaky. It’s in no way a reflection of you, your skills, your worth.
I’ve seen highly, highly qualified people from industry take quite a bit of time finding their next role. Just keep pushing forward and it’ll happen.
Use your GI Bill benefits and get an MBA.
If school isn’t an option right now, expand your search for positions in other career fields. The job market is weird right now.
Former Army Officer myself and also in Texas. If Deloitte is a place you’ve considered, please PM and I’d be happy to connect and put in a referral. You got this!

Bro- if there’s one thing you got from the Army it’s resiliency. This job market right now is not what it was 1-2 years ago. It’s rough. Just keep pushing and you’ll get something sooner or later you got this.
What’s your education, background work, and target industries?
Hang in there. It won’t be like this forever.

Have you considered a headhunter like Cameron-Brooks? It’s pretty far from ideal, but you’ll get *a* job that pays decently well.
You could also go the MBA route, which takes longer but will open more doors. If you’re not already, you should follow Sitreps2Steercos - he has a lot of transition resources and a strong network.
Agree - take this as an opportunity to go get your MBA, take a little debt on, transition slower and become a civilian. Then you graduate and double your Army salary in an instant.
Go for an MBA if you have the GI bill and go land a 200k+ job. Dm me if you are interested and need help
Are you getting any interviews?
In that case, your resume and/or LinkedIn is probably the problem. DM me your resume and I’ll see what I can do to help.
Can I interest you in a career in the Army Reserve? It’s a means to help pay bills and might help you find a job as DA Civilian while you find something else. Also, you keep working towards retirement.
national guard as well, might land an AGR job or a technician position.

Sounds like you had a uniquely good experience 😉
Seriously though - happy it worked out for you. I tell folks to use those placement firms as another tool, but don’t depend on them either.
My experience consisted of a Bradley Morris guy trying to get me into a construction job in Tampa, which was neither the location or industry I wanted.
Heard about the ITLA having a trade show this coming week. Conference is paid, but to walk the trade floor is free. Wouldn't hurt to step in and see if someone can get you in.
Hey man it gets better if you keep looking in the right places. I work for a bank with a presence in TX and also in the reserves. Send me a DM if you want some help!
Marine Veteran here. Been a recruiter for 20+ years and I pro bono help if you want it. DM me and we can hook up. Will help if I can. In the meantime, keep your head up.
What role/industry are you looking for? Willing to relocate?
Project Manager managing the oil pipeline or a energy Scheduler in the Oil and energy industry. Right now I can’t relocate unless the company pays for it.

Just DM’d you.
Hello, messaged you back.
I'm in the same boat, in the Houston area looking to get a job in the O&G field again. Been out since 2016, but have extensive experience out in the field inspecting pipelines. It's rough out there right now. Hope you find something soon.
Have you tried the Midland/ Odessa TX area? It is the largest oil field in The nation.
I had a long gap between leaving the MIL/GOV and my MBA. That was a major mistake and if I had to do it over, I would have immediately applied to business schools. It’ll buy you time, develop a new network of contacts you will absolutely need, and provide you with opportunities you don’t know exist.
Midland TX plenty of work in the oil fields and the pay is really good. What do you do?
