I’m starting to realize how much of startup storytelling is projecting confidence you don’t fully feel. Investors and hires expect certainty even when things are still unclear. It’s exhausting to carry that gap. How do other founders handle doubt without undermining credibility?

Have you ever taken a job you know you will hate because you needed the money right away? I have a family to take care of. I don't want to be plowing through our savings for selfish reasons like my mindframe at work, but I don't want to make our lives worse by being miserable. It's a matter of really ruining some of our financial future if we don't get money soon.

Not looking for the narrative arc of How I Built This or Masters of Scale. Instead, looking to uncover specific problems faced by companies that tried something new for the first time. What did they not see coming, how did they adapt and measure, etc.

I have a question about pricing. Some context to my upcoming question: My brother and I are starting a personal training business. I have six years military experience and he is still in the military. Collectively we have passed the hardest schools in the military and both love fitness and have experience building programs and are both certified personal trainers. How do you know what your passion is? I mean I think a lot about golf but i don’t think that’s a passion. It’s my hobby. I think most people just know.
