If you leave before promotions (but will be promoted at the new company), can you negotiate the new company to pay your promotion bonus? I would be at the senior consultant level at the new company.

Would a raise affect a bonus stated in my first offer letter?
My contract stated I’d be given a raise and bonus when I hit the 6 month mark and completed a list of projects. To my surprise I got a raise in March that was 2k over what my raise would have been. HR is saying they think the raise factored in the bonus (but they were waiting on owner’s confirmation). So today was the day, and no bonus showed up in my pay stub. Feeling frustrated.

Hi All

Request your suggestions.

YOE : 4 Year
Role : Data Engineer

I have two offers in hand one from Tetadata and other from Accenture.

Teradata : 13 Fix
Accenture : 11 Fix + 21% Variable + 60K joining Bonus
Mindtree : 13.46 Fix

Which one is the best suitable for my experience.

Deciding factor :
1. WLB
2. Compensation
3. Yearly Increment
4. Promotion

I was hired May 2021 straight out of college as a junior software dev for 65K base. Since then my salary has been bumped to 82K and likely looking at another round of salary increases in January. What kind of raise should I expect for around 2 YOE.

I just got a promotion, but I feel so unmotivated and anxious. My bosses are providing me with new opportunities, but I also feel like my work the past few months hasn’t been the best and I’ve made mistakes along the way. I feel like I’m one step from them realizing i’m not as good as they think I am. I’m not sure if I need a break or a career change.

I am currently in the running for a supervisor position within my current brokerage. This position would include keeping all my current responsibilities as an account manager along with supervising up to eight coworkers. Has anyone gone through this before? If so, what salary increase should I be expecting? Is it bad to negotiate a salary for a promotion within my current company?

Does anyone know what an appropriate percent of a raise to ask for is? I havent gotten an increase in two years since my probation ended and I'm trying to determine a number to ask, but I dont want to aim too high

Info: cost of living has increased 6.6% in that time, and a posting within my company is over 15% higher than my salary for an entry level position. But I've also heard that 8% is the highest you should ask for, so Im not sure

Hi Folks,

I was recently promoted to staff engineer at my company. My role is more strategic and I don’t work in code bases. If I were to change companies I’d likely be most qualified for technical program management. Initially with my promotion TC went from 165k to 185k, then after a slew of resignations the company recalibrated pay and bumped me to 296k TC. This is a big increase, but with the market the way it is I wanted to see what others in the industry think about how competitive it is.

I’ve been working at my company for almost 2 years and I am barely even making the 65K base pay. I receive praise after praise for my hard work and positive reviews but that’s not enough. We didn’t get a cost of living increase and now I’m making less money than last year. I need to ask for a promotion but I’ve never done that before.

Does anyone have any advice? My income has not changed since I’ve been here and I’m at my wits end

I really like my firm and team, but the firm pays below market for the work that we do, wlb is crap like everywhere else. I am interviewing with firms that would pay more, e.g., T2 small and large. I’ve been a solid performer, very strong project and bd feedback. I’m up for promotion during the next cycle. I really vibe with my team, and I wonder if I can keep an offer or two handy to extort from hr comp match. Is it a good idea? Will it affect my relationship with the MD (salaried)?

I got promoted to senior and my raise took me to $69.5k. Am I underpaid? Chattanooga, TN area. To add further context, a brand new staff with no experience just started at $65k after receiving a $5k “inflation bump” right before she started. Seems a little insane to me that I’m only getting $4.5k more despite having 2 more years of experience.

Hi All,

Please clear my doubts, if you have any idea.

1. I have posted X(<10L) as expected CTC in the form before Final tech round. I finished final round. So,HR will call and ask me what is your expectations. Can I change my expectations to >10L, because I feel I deserve more, and company is paying that for others as well.

2. What reason can I give to HR for the above problem, IF she asks why?

I have around 2.5 YOE, tech - Azure, devops. CCTC 4.2.

Please suggest. Thanks.
