I have been working remotely since covid getting nothing but positive reviews. My company is not remote friendly and is now telling me I have to return to the office or I lose my job. I just found out a co-worker had a remote position created for them, without a job posting, without an interview and without the experience required (normally a license or certification would be mandatory). Tell me about a time...that you realized you had indeed become the sad adult that childhood you promised to never become. One of those moments for me was just now, when I changed my computer desktop image to a place that makes me happy...forcing me to realize that I’m not.

Things have been super stressful at work lately for a variety of reasons & a couple of weeks ago I decided to raise the issues with my Creative Director.
For context, he’s the reason for a lot of these problems and I (tactfully, I think) said as much. He listened to me patiently but took no responsibility and deflected blame with every issue raised.
Today he asked me to send an email to him about how overworked I am so that he can use it to talk to management. (cont. in comments)
