What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. I’d basically be laterally for my current salary just to bill 400 more hours. I also wasn’t aware that the local office was strictly ID. Firm website advertises lots of practice areas. Any advice? Have an interview with a company I really want to work for tomorrow. My last job I was laid off b/c of an acquisition&recently accepted a job at a diff company b/c I couldnt afford not to. I got this invite shortly after. The place I’m interviewing at the job wouldn’t start til next year. I dont want to seem like a job hopper. Do i tell them I’m at a new role or just not bring it up? The acquisition was public so they can see Im no longer employed with the most recent work history on my resume

4YOE @Amazon & trying to lateral to a similar role @FAANG. Have my undergrad GPA (3.8/4) on resume from top 15 school but colleague says to take it off (looks silly). If it’s a good school & high GPA, why ever take it off your resume? Even if 10 YOE...can’t hurt?

Umm should I reach out to recruiter or wait and see or forget? So I am starting a new job next week and the company I interviewed for(Microsoft) before told me they liked me but they are having headcount issues and for me to check back with them. Even the director had a meeting with me after final round to determine fit and hr said I am a good fit. It is a government contract so maybe that's why.

Should I even bother with this or worry about it if they reach back to me?

I’m new on the job search and still employed. I’m looking to grow further in the logistics industry. While I look for work, it’s a bit discouraging seeing how hundreds of people apply for positions I see on LinkedIn. I still apply because you never know and AI plays a huge effect in selections. Should I even bother applying when there are more than 100 applications?

I just signed the offer letter from Absolutdata acquired by Infogain , and even before joining the company they sent me a welcome kit.
I am unsure of joining them in case I get a better counter offer, but I am a bit worried now since they already sent me a welcome kit. I am wondering what made them sure that I will join them and not any other company. Is it that after signing offer letter I cannot join other company?

Does anyone if there is anything legally a company can do to you if you don’t provide a two weeks notice when quitting? I’ve heard corporate talking about charging people for leaving without proper notice but this doesn’t sound legal.
