Act with compassion to the part of you that makes you ruminate. Acknowledge that, sometimes, rumination can uncover more insights into what you’re feeling. And the. Ask why are you ruminating. Not what on, but what is the rumination to help you to achieve or protect you from. Consider acknowledging that rumination sometimes has value, and you can get at that by creating an action plan/ risk view/ issues list/ other proactive steps.
In the past I lost lots of sleep from fear. What helped was listening to the why behind the fear and turning to action. Do I ruminate? Every. Damned. Day. Does it hurt me now? As long as I acknowledge the potential value in the analysis and redirect it into action, it can be more positive than negative.

A friend would not wish you to stay still in your box of worries.
Did you know that studies have found that continuing to dwell on negative thoughts reinforces the negativity and in turn makes you think more negative things? You can force override this by making yourself think positive things and predict positive outcomes rather than negative ones.

Hi you guys. They have found in many studies that your thinking is a direct connection to your physical well being.
Henry Ford said it best "if you think you can "or "You think you can't."
You are right!
If you think you are a failure, then you are.
If you think that you can make a go of it in the land of plenty.
Then you will!
Find a way to break bad habits.
Consider you as your best friend.
When you're thinking to yourself. (Which is having a conversation with your self ) Try to be kind, caring and understanding.
You want yourself to succeed so choose your conversations to be able to succeed.
Thinking down on yourself is. Defeat ing your self. And why would you want to do that?
Get a peice of paper and take inventory.
