In our firm, different depts. have different title structures. A few years ago, I moved w/in my org to a different dept but kept my title as is. A year in, my title changed to what was the standard for that dept. But this new title was 2-3 levels below where I had been. I was humiliated and looking for new jobs when the pandemic hit. Eventually I got promoted again but I am still below where I was years ago now. I have documentation that shows which levels are equivalent across depts.

It is very clear that I was demoted. But with no formal communication or warning. I would have left immediately but my family (incl 3 kids) are all on my insurance. My husband is self-employed. We are not in state with good options on the health exchange. What should I do? I have been looking for new jobs constantly and haven’t found anything. I’m too scared to not have health insurance for all five of us for what could be a really long time but staying has destroyed my mental health.

Any advice? Legal options? I’d appreciate any guidance right now.

It hasn’t happened to me yet but I get you. A former colleague left my dept to go to a different dept; it was clear it was a promo. She went from grade level 21 business consultant to 22 senior business consultant. She got retitled once she joined her team to product owner and now when I look up her info in the company system, I see her current title is at grade level 21 again. Obviously she is looking to exit the company now.

I’m not sure if she did. It was just an observation I made on my own about her title now. She reached out this week to ask me if I would be a reference for her as she applied for an external position so that’s how I know she’s moving on. I don’t blame her.

Is there such a thing as getting promoted TOO quickly? Just got the bump to AS after 10 months as an AE. Not at all typical at my agency (usually 5 to 8 YOE). I'm probably crazy.

Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.

TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)

TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)

Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

Within this Surah,Allah SWT speaks about how He is the one that granted the cure, purity, and strength after the backs were about to break. Allah SWT takes us to this point to refine us.
