Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

In my experience, there’s an into a wariness for people without consulting experience. But once you demonstrate your competency with core consulting skills, your industry experience will be valued more.
It’s dumb, and it should be leveraged more effectively while you hone any new skills required, but I find this is often not the case sadly.
Thank you ❤️
Sounds like a pretty toxic environment to be in
Agreed— I just don’t know if this is consulting as a whole or just the engagements I’ve been tapped for.
Their egos are hurt and they don’t want to change. Let things be, they will like you more for not showing them up.
It’s so frustrating because I genuinely want to do what is best for the client (and ultimately what is the best for the firm).
As a note: when my point proves true the following happens 1) I’m crapped on for not pushing the point hard enough (while also being dismissed for be inexperienced in consulting/told I’m being uppity when I’m trying to push on the point ) 2) Everyone seems to forget this was the exact point I was advocating for and seem legitimately baffled at the sequence of events
I’m partially venting but I’m also hoping to get some perspective and advice on how to approach this.
