A bit extreme, still relatable

I have a love-hate relationship with DU.
Good jobs for introverts? So over consulting.

M1 - likewise. I try for a small conference or hoteling office, otherwise I just work from home. Hard to privately coach/mentor staff in an open workspace without everyone eavesdropping
HATE
Haha, looks like my firm messed up big time with all their office redesigns
GIVE ME BACK MY CUBE!!
Hate it too. Since we moved to hoteling I dread being in the office. WFH 4 days a week now. I’m not a consultant but management services
One designer of these floor plans claims millennials like open floor plans and that its boomers and x-ers who cannot adapt that dislike open floor plans. I bet she sat in her private office and declared that without asking anyone their actual preference as I haven’t found anyone of any age who likes open floor plans if they need to focus
I’m a millennial and I hate the open office layout
Wow - hits home hard. I’m someone who likes space to recharge - open office designs have made it impossible to do that. Result is a significantly lower performing / less confident me :/ What do you folks do to cope?
I hate it. Since our office was renovated to open design I work from home significantly more
Small conference rooms ftw
If I’ve got work to do, the [open] office is NOT the place to get it done. I only go into the office to network.
The New York 30 Rock floor dedicated to consulting is all open space. I literally almost never sit there and hang on a floor where there are cubicles and no one I know
Open office plans are of the devil. That’s it and that’s all.
