Interviewed for a finance role recently and the hiring manager asked if I could handle ambiguity. And I had to laugh because I’ve audited startups that ran payroll through Venmo and kept their GL in a spreadsheet with 43 tabs. I’ve worked in chaos for years, but no one outside public seems to get that. Why is it so hard to convince hiring managers that public accounting actually builds insane problem-solving skills? Has anyone figured out how to bridge that perception gap?

I'm going to accept an offer that's 150k+🎉 I'm a single filer, no kids. I'll be able to max out: 401k, HSA, but from my understanding, I will not qualify to utilize IRA?
