Hello! I recently applied for a Travel Procurement Senior Manager role at PwC (role is in NYC and I’m not NYC-based but I believe certain roles can be primarily remote). I have 5+ years of experience in this field and the description/company culture seem like a perfect match to what I’m looking for. Are there any fish from PwC and/or their talent acquisition team that can provide a reference post-submission and insight on the hiring process? Thanks!!

In my department we hire outside often. Some work out some don’t . Basically your ability to deal with frustrations with management determines your longevity. Many managers fall into two categories. People who were very good at their job so they got moved up, often into a position for which they did not have the innate skills; or people who come from outside with ideas and a plan without first getting acquainted with the environment of the Jackson Lab. Jax has a relatively new director and with each change in leadership there is a paradigm shift. The previous director was focused on we are a team working to advance research. Focusing on a feeling of community. The new director seems to be more focused in the business of research.
definitely baited you. Outside hires are rare and typically don't last in my experience.
I was ghosted by HR and hiring manager as well after a 2nd round interview.
