Anyone recently received a tax manager offer from EY ? I’m going through final interviews and want to see what your experience was like (negotiation process, initial offer higher/lower than expected?, did you give them a salary expectation range? How long did it take from final interview to offer etc) TIA!PwC EY KPMG Deloitte

Not at all. People do it all the time and the recruiter will be understanding. I wouldn’t tell them you’re getting close to an offer per say, but say you want to be transparent and are interviewing with other agencies that have started to move more quickly and you’re interested in the second agency and would like to expedite the interview if possible.
I’ve done this regularly. Be transparent - can gloss over as “in the late stages with discussing another opportunity“. Will help leverage when offer(s!) come. It can nudge them to expedite the process, depending on the pace they need to hire.
No. It would be inappropriate not to. Just don’t gloat.
The quality of output at the first agency is better than the second, however I’d love to learn from the boss at the second.
Is it inappropriate to mention there’s another opportunity to potentially expedite things? Don’t want to risk turning down an offer but also don’t want things to drag on for months at the second agency
Cool - thank you!
I wouldn’t say anything to either company until you have an offer in your hand. I’ve been on the verge of offers and then company mgmt changes put all new hires on hold... once you have an offer, you can tell Company B that you’re very interested but you do have another offer so would need to make a decision by X date. Then see if they’re willing to hustle for you or if they drag the process out, are you willing to risk the first offer.
