Interviewing for a new job - given the pandemic, what’s a reasonable salary range for a VP position, coming from a director position based in NYC?

My close friend works for the mayor of my mask mandate city. We are both libs. I think the mandate was once good, is silly now. She just blew up at me when I asked for data to support their position. All I got was “I’m tired let’s talk tomorrow.” I’m disappointed she could not engage and support her opinion.
