When is it best to leave consulting? Here's how I think about it.
First, are you enjoying it? If so, why leave (it can be a great life long career)?
Second, are you still learning fast? If not, you're missing out.
Last, what skills do most employers value? In my experience, this dictates 2 optimal jumping off points:
(a) 2-3 years in. Consulting "tool kit" is solid
(b) ~1-2 year into Manager. Employers value experience managing people.

Interested to know how heavily they’re weighing casing for folks that have completely aligned work experience
How did the interview go? What was the structure
Mentor
Logic. Simple math. Affability.
Mentor
Very true, but I assume professional behavior and FB behavior are not 1:1🤞
And A1 may not even be interested in S&, just thought the word sounded funny. 🤞
😂
practice your mental math, practice your casing , and stay calm and friendly no matter what people throw at you
I heard strategy& is getting the monitor treatment, is that true?
Mentor
Not at all.
There was a re-org but S& is still a distinct brand with distinct recruiting, promotion, and GTM models.
All my S& folks, what are the cases like? Don’t think I’ll get assigned an interview buddy (like bcg, deloitte) so want to make sure I have the right info to prepare
Mentor
Sure. Market sizing, market entry, acquisition, product launch, whatever.
Got the offer: I make more than 2x right now than their TC Offer and when I brought that up, the recruiter said there’s literally no way they can match it.
Thanks for all the help guys

Makes sense. I've done the same with interviews😂
At S&, bonus is a pretty big part of comp. If it were manager level, it might be worth it if you really wanted to do that kind of consulting, or if you plan to stick around until partner.
But $350K before bonus / refresher sounds like director level comp at S&.
