I've never worked at the other two and can't compare. What I like most about BCG are the people. I found the majority to be really smart, yet very humble and kind. Didn't expect the firm to have so many "nice" people to be honest, especially in the upper ranks.
A1, Bain is awesome. Its for family reason.
Thanks guys! I am moving to a place where true north hasn't touched yet.
Thanks a lot ! BCG1, you represent what you said.
Sorry to hear you are leaving good sir, guessing we don't have an office where you want to be?
Have you talked to your mentor or partner you know well? They're usually very open-minded and willing to help out where possible with setting up transfers
Op: are you out of undergrad?
Nope, lateral for personal reasons.
Bschool then? I am trying to switch w/0 MBA, wondering if that's possible.
No, I work for Bain. Its possible, you just need to network really hard to get an interview.
OP- what's your motivation to leave Bain? Heard the culture there is top notch, and it's still MBB.
Culture so I've heard
One thing worth noting is that BCG/Mck have a diamond structure- less As, whereas Bain is pyramid- more As. So associates run their own work streams under project leaders, as opposed to being managed by consultants- which I believe is the case with Bain and its spinoffs (LEK, Parthenon). Correct me if I'm wrong..?
BCG more academic. And they invented the 2x2!!!
Vault says Bain & BCG are neck and neck; externally, at least, I can't see a big difference. Interested to see more answers.
@EY1: the 2x2?
Lesson 1 of consultant school
Ok, I'd always thought those were called quad-charts. NM.
