Yes.. provided you put expenses in check and have a good budget to mind.
Closer to $90-120k is needed. I live in Van now.

Near Vancouver yes but even then you’ll need to be on the higher end of that range to be comfortable.
In Vancouver, unfortunately much less likely.
$120K in BC is $87K after-tax, ~7.25K a month.
Non-crap 1-bed condo rent with laundry is going for $3K a month
Groceries and other basic expenses (cellphone, internet, gas, parking, insurance (both car and condo) etc.) will run at least $2k a month.
Discretionary spending of $1K a month on eating out, and generally amusement…
$5K a year for other shopping for clothes, household items, etc.
$3-5K a year on trips and other stuff.
Maybe some savings…
That adds up quick.
