I got 15k and everyone's jaw dropped so I'd say yes. 12k = pretty good.
Acn1, your problem is working for a publicly traded firm, you will always see crap raises and bonuses because Accenture is essentially an "industry" company. I dealt with it for 4 years and joined a partnership
TELL US WHAT YOU KNOW
This post means nothing without level, previous base, etc.
Thanks BAH - not to be disrespectful, but we're curious because our pay scale is going to be 100% standardized and we want to see how much each level (cohorts) pay. Agree with your post though!
If it's >0 = better than 0
When I got promoted from analyst to senior analyst I got less then then a 4K bump (I've had 3 projects that rated me the highest score I could get). So if I had a 12K bump I'd be shitting my pants. So good for you
I just went from $72.5 as a 1st year EA (2nd year at PwC) to $95k SA1. 31% increase
How? Are you a superstar with super good ratings?
So OP what cohort are you in and what salary?
Questions are prob directed at OP but I'll chime in if it helps. I went from first year consultant to senior consultant ( at BAH, that's level 1 to level 2 jump). Was in low 50's for salary. I pretty much told my manager that I need to see an increase at year end bc of XYZ and I had the convo twice before managers met for promotion and salary stuff. As for level of work, I'm not a superstar but I produce a great work product and I am enjoyable to work with (from what I hear). I was assertive, firm, but not overly so. It's a balancing act. I was able to leverage my situation bc of a few factors. Find pain points for managers and (metaphorically) put your knee on their necks till you get what you want. But do so respectively and strategically. No tantrums or bitching. Just a be firm.
Thanks BAH. Reason everyone is asking is because we're all waiting on cohort numbers for PwC. From what I calculate: if OP got a 14% raise that was $12k, that would mean his base as an EA was $86k, right? So now he's at $98k as either an A3 cohort level or SA1 if he was promoted.
@p1 - gotchya. Thanks for the insight.
Probably an adjustment to what new associates making now tbh
DC office. Its cohort A in SA1 I'm not sure if there's a B before you go to SA2 or not.
Details dude. Need context
What level were you at?
When OP said first year, I'm thinking like a first year associate, may be wrong.
14% bump from previous base. First year EA in advisory.
Did you go up a cohort?
