Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

You’re not getting hired full time. Contract to hire is dangling the carrot. Assume you will be let go after 6 months.
OP it really depends on your personal situation. With contracts, you’re trading job security and possibly benefits for better pay
Do you have a large amount of savings? If you have a working spouse, can you get on their health plan? Do you have an in demand skill so you can find jobs easily, in case you’re let go? If yes and you’re getting 50% or more income VS your current pay, then contracting is worth it.

I wouldn’t do it unless there is a 50-100% raise coming with it, and/or it’s a dream company lol
