People with these may as well tattoo "PMO 4 Lyfe" on their foreheads. Pass.

Only get a PMP if you reallllly like PMO work.
And then get your head examined.

If you're in operations, and want to get to shop floor level work, then LEAN and Six Sigma are valuable.

I have lean six sigma..worthless.

I have both and literally never use either one. It's just something to slap on your resume. Helpful when looking for a new job, but pretty useless internally

I did the pmp a couple years ago to check a box. Non big ROI and have to duck pmo work

This may be a dumb question: do I really have to have an MBA to get advisory/consulting type of positions? Does intelligence automation/data analytics type of consulting also need an MBA? Or an analytics degree will help much more?

Hey Everyone!
I’m coming up on one year of working in consulting post under grad in a financial services vertical. I know I want to transition to corporate strategy down the road, but don’t have much interest in financial service strategy. Should I try and switch into a more applicable practice such as M&A or operations? Will I be able to break into corporate strategy without any past experience in that industry? I want to avoid getting pigeonholed into FS, but with COVID, don’t want to leave.

I’m taking the SPHR in less than 2 months and haven’t started studying for it. How difficult is it? I’ve been in HR for 20 years and have experienced ALOT in that time, although there are always employee relations scenarios that surprise me! How much do I really need to study for this? I just can’t seem to motivate myself to do it, I’m so mentally burnt out at the end of the day from a high stress HR job, the last thing I feel like doing is studying HR!
