I think its time to standdup and die on our feet and stop living on our knees . Check out the way Letterman handled his piece on it. If we let ourselves go without push back the opposite side wins. Trumps on the wrong side of history . The world hates him. He’s a multi platinum felon. It shouldn’t be debatable. I hear you though, you need to make a wage and they seem to be the majority. Please do not forget the facts . He didn’t win by any landslide . Half the nation didn’t want him in office. I think I’d rather know where i stand and not bow down to these fascists . Good thing I don’t have kids. If my opinion deems me unmarketable i will only be hurting myself i suppose. You have to have limits . I’d go insane trying to smile and nod and normalize this behavior . I cant break bread with haters and war mongers .
Any genuine political beliefs have always been practically outlawed by about any company. Believe something that isn’t mainstream politislop from the uniparty? Fired. I got called a crazy conspiracy theorist for saying we shouldn’t just immediately trust a government source or what a news article says.
The Kimmel situation is highly unusual because of the government coercion, and I don't think the FCC is going to be threatening too many of us. I don't see politics being a problem as long as people do their jobs and aren't jerks about it. That's the problem, of course, what a lot of people think of today as politics is just ridiculous taunting and hurling insults. The trolling on social media isn't exactly the Port Huron Statement.
Ok so just to ask I only heard Kimmel had been suspended, has this changed now, has he been completely fired or something?
He knew the killer wasn't MAGA when he said it. Broadcasting rules specifically state intentionally lying to the public is unacceptable.
Also, you don't need to worry about what you post if you don't post indecent, hateful slur about others.
He never said what the killer was or wasn't, he was quite explicit that no-one knew at tge time. What he did say was that the right was jumping up and down screaming "Not one of us, not one of us!" at a time when no-one knew anything. And the right got very, very upset by that. And then twisted it into what you've just said.
I think everybody should be worried about their political views or saying the wrong thing. It’s sad to say that. But Jimmy Kimmel wasn’t the first one to lose their job over saying something that upset somebody on the other side. Sadly, he will not be the last.
