PwC immigration service is soooo slow. I submitted my I-140, 485 etc to them, it’s been four weeks now, they have not submitted it. They like to drag everything. I sent an email to them to follow up, they told me the timeline for them to prepare the petition is 6-8wks after they receive the signed documents. I’m just pissed off. Welp. Had an interview scheduled for this morning for 30 mins. I join the webex & nothing. I email the recruiter after 15 mins and get a response saying the interviewer had something come up and would like to reschedule. A bunch of acquaintances / friends of friends have been so kind with helping me think through next steps and even do interview prep. 1/ is it appropriate to send a small item? 2/ if so what are appropriate ideas outside a thank you note eg chocolates, gift card? My home office is NY but I live in NJ and I’m filing taxes in multiple states that I worked in this year. On my W2 federal wages are the same as NY state wages, how do I track down my New York w2 wages without access to my detailed timesheets? Can I just subtract my total wages from the state wages from my W2 of the other states I’ve worked in?

How does search work at McKinsey? If it’s up to x weeks paid to find a job, how will they know if I’ve already accepted an offer? I’m trying to strategically declare search so I can have a backup offer and use my time to find something better, but I want to make sure that I don’t get in trouble lol. It’s also difficult to multitask finding a job and working on studies since you’re around the clock.
