What are your thoughts about someone willing to pursue SAP consulting as a career ? Oracle and SAP are standard ERP systems in Fortune/Big companies so even if one joins and learns in 2-3 yrs what are the growth opportunities in SAP ? I do recognize that there are a lot of advanced planning systems out there but in reality is it fair to assume that one can easily plateau off in 5 yrs from a career progression standpoint?SAP Oracle o9 Solutions Blue Yonder Kinaxis Inc.

Level 3? Third year associate? First year senior? In general the job that pays you the most is the best direction
I’d stick with the more prestigious firm, but that’s me

Most likely
Better to think in terms of trajectory.
What would your salary and exit opps be in 3-5 years from each firm (or however long you plan to be in consulting)?
I think the answer is very much skewed towards the T2. For example, Glassdoor states the average B4 consulting manager will make ~150k + bonus. Maxes out at ~180k. The average MBB consultant makes $190k + bonus.
Titles don’t really matter. You upgrade every 2 years anyway.
But that's comparing the same levels? For me, I'm at the lowest level at T2 which pays 100k but if I were to jump to B4 it would be the level that pays 150k
If B4 offer is just third year of must junior title, I wouldn't see this as a step up.
Think of your goals and work backwards. Which helps you hit your goals faster / with more certainly?
Third level from the most junior title. Say the progression is CO, SC, ASC, position at B4 would be ASC
I’ll trade you a SA role for that T2 role that’s like 5 levels up
Oh really it's that prestigious? Lowest level at T2 pays 100k but if I were to jump to B4 it would be the level that pays 150k
How much does the b4 role pay?
