That is a good bump.. take it you can always come back to ACN for the same or higher rate.
Pro
30% bump is definitely worth it!
No one cares about tiers of firms. You like money or telling people where you work more? - also have experience working with Accenture myself, and I’d never say a good thing about them
Keep in mind that BIG4 is also like big brother. They wanna know every single financial relationship you, your wife, your parents and your kids have. If you are an investor in the market, you have to make sure you only use approved investing brokers.
I don’t think KPMG and ACN have a significant brand difference if you’re doing Salesforce. It’s another story if it’s KPMG vs MBB
If you cared about prestige you wouldn't be a Salesforce consultant
Just a different perspective to consider...the firm tier stuff is nonsense (you’re spending too much time on this app probably) but ACN salesforce practice is definitely stronger so it’s likely more interesting customers and projects. Shouldn’t make a huge difference but it matters a bit.
Comp wise though, I’m assuming you’d be coming into KPMG as a Sr Assoc and 130 is at the very high end of the salary band (also impressive for 2 YOE). The downside to that is I wouldn’t expect to see a significant raise until you hit manager which is normally 5 YOE minimum. Also kpmg FY is oct-sep so you’d be ineligible for bonus/raise this year in oct since you’re coming in past 6 months. If you’re expecting a promo or raise from ACN soon then your comp over 2 or 3 years won’t be too different.
TLDR - probably worth it but not a no brainer like other 30% raises are
I was recently promoted so I wouldn't receive any significant raises end of year. I do enjoy working at ACN so maybe I'll boomerang back in a few years. I'll be coming in as a Senior Associate but i was hoping to hit manager in a few years. I also have 2yoe in industry but not relevant to Salesforce. I sure hope it doesnt take 5 years to make manager
Bro 30k is a nice chunk of change. Make the move
Fml i said bro, sorry for assumption! Gotta cut that out smh. My bad
Secure the bag! Unless you’re going to work for Salesforce I don’t think it matters where you go in regards to partners. You’ll prbbly end up doing similar work and if KPMG is lower tier there may be more opportunities for growth as they try to scale the SF practice.
ACN markets that they’re the best at everything
I was in a somewhat similar position, coming from a firm known for its analytics capabilities to jumping to another big 4 where it wasn't as strong. I went for it
Not sure tbh. Not on a project i was wanted to be in so sort of salty but this is my practice specifically. The money is worth it though
No big difference. I’d say go!
Take the offer to your PL/CC and have them raise with HR. The market is hot right now and I've seen them recently match or at least get close enough that it's not worth leaving.
That said, you need to be prepared to leave in case they say no (unlikely though if you're salesforce).
OP agree you can't try again.
CM1 - not sure about that. They'll want to see the offer most likely. Unsure if you can somehow redact the company name. Just try it but be ready to leave if necessary.
Which practice at KPMG? Customer Solutions or Commerce?
Customer solutions
take it and get out of TDP
Bring it up to your leadership and ask for a match. Good chance you get it, and you don't have to rebuild your network.
