Need some insight: if you’re about to leave for a competing firm, should you give 2 weeks notice (and risk being fired/escorted off the premise) or simply quit without giving notice?

Question for my friend at KPMG. Her MDs and Partners have been directing her to eat her hours. If she charges over 45 hours she will get emails from management and when she charges over 65 she got a call from a PPMD. I work at deloitte and have never been told to do this and thought it honestly was illegal. Thoughts? It doesn’t seem right that she’s having to eat those hours and feel scared when she’s working til 10/12 every night.

So I'm not a top performer. Definitley not the smartest guy at big 4. But some of the questions I get from very experienced seniors are just so basic.
