Cleared Accenture Skill interview by answering almost all the questions and received congratulatory mail for HR round and submitting all documents. Then after a week received a call from HR saying that due to some technical issue, the skills round will happen again and an online assessment was set up. In the assessment, questions which were not directly related to the profile were asked and then a rejection mail was received. Does this happen a lot?

This happened to me during my interviews and the final call was telling me I was offered a position! Think positive as you don’t know until you know
I think it’s probably good news. When I was interviewing, the recruiter emailed me to schedule a call. Gave me the verbal offer on the call and sent the written offer afterwards.
I'm guessing the interviews went well but the role got delayed or something. It doesn't make sense to schedule a call for a standard rejection
They usually don’t call for bad news. But they also don’t usually schedule a call for an offer. Could be you advanced to next round or the role may be paused or they see you fitting for a different role.
Well it could be anything I guess. But do yourself a favor, forget about it. It’ll eat you and it’s completely out of your control. Good luck!!
This happened to me. The recruiter wanted a light verbal confirmation that their offer was good enough before getting a partner to approve my (extremely high) salary requirement
Yeah same, but not at ACN. I’ve had a few offers extended from different firms and each time the recruiters called to give me the verbal offer, let me know the details and if they’re suitable before finalizing the actual letter with leadership to email out.

Courtesy calls aren't really a thing so much anymore.
It’s not bad necessarily, some recruiters may really like you and think you are really good fit but they may have had some changes come up regarding the opening (change of duties, cancellation of the opening, delay in start). But this would be a good item to ask for feedback, and maybe make a good connection so they can keep you in mind.
I had this call to tell me I was unsuccessful, no joke
You may wonder why I’m here - I came in via another track pretty much immediately
Why would it be bad? They may share good news and begin the remuneration discussion
A similar situation happened with my offer and they just needed a day or two to get things finalized, you will be just fine
So what was the verdict here?
It was a very monotone email... if it was good I would have assumed they would lead with the good part
