Is it common to get billed out at a higher level than you are? I'm an L1 at a boutique and am getting billed as L2 since July. I'm in the process for promo to L2 this January, but I would get that even if I didn't take this project. When I asked if I would be able get a higher comp adjustment on top of the promo, I was shot down because of "how the market is", but the additional comp I want isn't even 20% of the savings I brought the firm for being overbilled.
