Is it just me, or is a significant amount of our interview performance and confidence based on how fresh/burned out we feel?

I have an interview next week, and I feel like my case performance is much worse now than it was 2+ weeks ago, even though I've been trying to pace myself with a reasonable number of case drills, cases, and PEI prep. I'm tired, demotivated, and not sure what to do.

I’m applying to a Fed agency that I’m really excited about, but the application requires a reference from your current supervisor. I haven’t told the firm I’m thinking about leaving. Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?

Graduating senior. Have choices between MBB and SWE at FAANG. Not sure what to do. Long term I’d love to be in a small startup or a leader in a tech company. Not sure which path is better for that. Any thoughts?
