Hey guys/gals. Hoping to get some guidance on here. I’m considering making a pivot into industry (Big Pharma specifically) towards the end of next year (right after I’m up for promotion to Manager). Ideally exiting into industry in the marketing function. The problem is I’m not sure what marketing role my background best prepares me for. More on my background below…

I feel that I’m spending all day at work every day which is likely to burn me out. I really want to succeed in my new role.
Tips/Resources needed for Codility Assessment for Deloitte's entry-level GPS analyst role!!
I had two rounds of on-campus recruitment last week, and today, my recruiter requested that I complete a 1-hour Codility assessment. I have no coding experience.... and not sure why that's needed for the GPS analyst role. I'm literally an environmental science major LOL. is this part of the interview process? could i literally not get the role because i don't know how to code? Deloitte #Codility
I got an offer from both Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs PWM as Client service associate. For MS it's an etablished team with 10b+ in AUM.
the Goldman role is called Wealth management professional associate, however you come in as a floater until you find an established team to join. So risk joining a less established team depending on openings.
any insight on both firms for their PWM? Which company has better long term in terms of growth, career and learning opportunities?

I have 25 years of work experiences in my field and I feel like slowing down and get a job requiring less tenue. Also what is different from Deloitte consulting and Deloitte advisory. Which is better?
Does anyone feel they interview poorly because of their nerves, even if you prepare prior to the interview and find good examples of your skills and experience to match the role requirements? My nerves always get the best of me and I tend to ramble when I’m nervous. I had a phone interview with the hiring manager and members of the team that the role would be working with and I feel like I shot myself in the foot a few times. Does anyone have any tips to get past their nerves in the interview?
HR or Payroll:
I had resigned from a job a few weeks ago. I’m entitled to 2 weeks (10 days) of vacation pay. I used 1.5 since January 1st. Will I be paid out the vacation pay that I earned from Jan-June, or the full 8.5 days that I would’ve had left?
RIP Mr. Peanut.
Is it a waste of time to try and build a relationship with an AD like Watches of Switz in Hudson Yards NYC if you only buy 1-2x per year and ultimate goal is Rolex Sub or Exp1? Would it make more sense to build that relationship remotely with an AD in a market with less demand?

What is a fair salary/hourly for a kitchen manager in Tampa FL? Small kitchen with 3 to 4 kitchen assistants. Kitchen is open 50 hours a week. Manager has full creative license and has no one above them in the chain of command outside of owners.
Trying to get into the technical writing field but stuck in that limbo between “changing job careers” and “no experience in the field I want to get into.” I know that having a portfolio with your own personal projects helps, but does that really make you stand out if they’re also asking for years and years of experience for an “entry-level” job?

Is it okay to call a recruiter if it’s been a week since they said they would follow up and you’ve already sent a follow up email? Additionally, is it okay to reach out to another team member you spoke to if the recruiter isn’t responding?
I see a lot of people posting about “thank you”s. What kind of interaction with a recruiter constitutes a thank you? Is this just a ty email? What do you say? How long do you wait to send a ty?
Recruiter here: looking to go into resource management with years of working with all sort of advertising agencies from Pharma to CPG clients and fortune 500. Ft roles only if anyone has heard of any roles out there in tri state :)
How does one go about negotiating a late start date in a new role? Starting some interview processes now and hoping to be able to delay a start date until early Oct. I see this happen frequently enough (offer is accepted with a start date 2 mos out) but I was wondering if there are any tactics to this or if it’s generally purely situational? Interviewing can take a while so that buys me some time...
Recruiter to Recruiters: Do you/have you ever told a candidate you will not work with them because of their bad reputation? Do candidates have a right to know their name has been tarnished?
Recruiters, have you ever had someone accept an offer letter and before they started “quit” to go somewhere else they found out they got accepted? Is this a common occurrence?
Have an old colleague that volunteered me as a reference without asking ahead of time and lied about the way we interacted. She said I was her direct report which is a massive lie. This person then proceeded to try to derail my day by asking me to hop on an urgent call to fabricate the reference I’m supposed to give them. I’m angry but it’s also hard times. Someone pls be the voice of reason and tell me how you’d react?
What does it mean when the hiring agency tells you that they need to do duo diligence before making the final job offer?
They have already done multiple interviews and background reference check.

Does it come off as arrogant when a candidate is transparent about their interviewing timeline with other agencies?
Im in hiring process for two places; First one is big company so process is much longer, slower & in different state. Second one is small studio in my area and ... (continue)
Hey Recruiters - if someone is interviewing for a role, and the team says “we really like them but need to do our due diligence and talk to some more candidates” you can tell that to the candidate! That’s reasonable! Don’t just ghost them for two weeks after five great interviews! UGH.
I plan to relocate & had a phone interview w/a company I’m excited about in that city—but haven’t heard next steps. I’m also flying there in 2 weeks (personal travel).Do I ask the recruiter to meet?
You know when you’re talking to a prospect and you ask, “So, why are you looking to leave?” You know the answer is probably because it sucks there and they’re sick of it. But what is best answer ?
Anyone able to give advice on salary for a specific role that I have seen advertised in NYC? I’d love get some help - can explain more over email. I’ve set up firstname.lastname@example.org
I received 2 competing offers for two very different types of agencies. The first one is a very large agency, and I was offered a management position at $80,000. The second is a midsized agency in DTC/Ecomm and they offered me an associate position at $70,000 (negotiated from $65,000). Is there a way for me to potentially negotiate a manager level position at the DTC agency? I really want to work there because of the culture, but I’m looking for a manager level position.
