Is it reasonable to leave if not promoted to Senior next year? I left b4 tax after two busy seasons because I knew I didn’t want to do tax anymore. Left for a position in F100 consolidations role. Group is small, about 6 people. Not much growth and people here have been with company 10+ years and are barely a senior. They're offering me a good package with so many career benifits like an onsite, opportunity, certification n good technology exposure. Another offer frm a reputed comp a tier 1 comp not an expectd package n benefits.

Only issue is I hate it have very little interest in accounting. I have seriously been considering pivoting towards a career in data and analytics by perusing a masters in data analytics or data science. I’m not from an English speaking country but I am watching a tv show and businessmen walk into a room and instead of greeting eachother, everyone says each person’s first name in lieu of hi, however in my experience working in the states, I haven’t seen anyone do this, it’s always hi or good afternoon or some other greeting first THEN they say their first name. is it also appropriate to omit the greeting?
