Bain & Company Fishes, I wonder if you have suggestion on office selection, I am finishing my dual degree(advanced degree and applying for post MBA level job) next year and now applying for consulting roles in the states. I have never been to the states and will only arrive on campus in Fall. I am keen on Seattle and SF offices but I have no affiliation or experience there. Any suggestions? Yea it's not hard and it's a nice tool to know well.
You doing the certification Qualified Associate Tableau training? Getting the fee paid for in assuming?
Yup, something like that
Do you know of any other valuable certifications for consultants?
Nice to have a Green Belt. Makes you a bit more versatile. Also gives you some leeway on getting out of a Project Management cert.
^probably a dumb question that I could just google. But how do you get the green belt? Do you need formal education credits or can you just take an exam?
Green and black belt require you to complete a project to address some type of inefficiency that, after implemention, saves the organization $x (I forget the thresholds, $100k, $500k for black, something like that). Regarding Tableau,I don't know if it's complicated enough that a certification is warranted. Seems pretty straightforward.
