Is it worth leaving MBB to a tier 2 firm because of the kind of work they're doing? Context, took some time off work for personal reasons and I'm evaluating whether I should go back. I want to exit to an energy and infrastructure fund but I struggled to get that kind of work while at McKinsey. Seen some tier 2 opportunities that are in the energy space and I'm tempted to jump ship. Wondering if I'll still be able to find good exit opportunities

Hi! I have worked in management roles in tech, mainly in analytics, for approximately 10 years. My TC has fluctuated (currently around 135K CAD), but it seems like it's relatively easy to breach the 100K bar, but hard to breach the 150K bar. I now work at the CBC, but I have worked in the private sector too. What is the most realistic way to move to 200K? 1) Continue moving the ladder to a VP position, 2) Switch to Pre-Sale, 3) Switch to Consulting, 4) Work from a U.S. company from Canada.

Hi everyone, I had a major surgery and am looking to find a remote position involving anything that isn’t 100% commission based or cold calling/agent positions. Have a start date coming up and need to give notice ASAP to make my start date. Just got a call from HR saying I passed my background check but nothing officially in writing. Do I wait or can I give notice tomorrow?

Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?

Is it easier to go from McK to BCG or Deloitte to BCG? If one is easier, how much easier? And do BCG recruiters ever poach from McK or is that a big no-no?
