Is it realistic to have a decent WLB if you’re a parent and working in MBB/T2 in Dubai? Is it guaranteed that you’d be travelling Monday-Thursday? Currently, I have a decent WLB in London but money is very attractive in Dubai but don’t want to miss my child growing up if I’m expected to not be home >80% of the time.

I’ve been working as a management consultant for 3 years in London across a range of industries. For the last 1.5 yrs I’ve been internal environmental lead. How long should you stick around in a job you're unhappy with? I started a new role about three months ago and I'm not happy. The people are okay, but it isn't the type of work I was expecting and management isn't being helpful. I'm afraid it will look like I'm job-hopping if I leave too soon.

I joined a later stage startup as a corporate strategy “manager”. I put manager in quotes as there’s no one else in strategy. I have 15 YOE, mostly in FP&A. I’m getting worn down by the monthly and quarterly cycles of public company reporting and the fact that I have to work around them. Are there any good roles where FP&A person can work in that don’t have to follow the accounting cycles?
