There are a lot of updates going on to all of our systems. With the pandemic coming to a close Marriott is trying to keep the good changes that came from covid and do away with the ones that aren't working/necessary anymore. Apps are always a work in progress anyways and even more so now post covid. It could be that the particular hotel is not receiving the notification because of your settings, or maybe that they simply don't have a room ready for an early check in. I would call to find out and let them know you're trying to check in and see if there is anything they can do such as blocking you into a room that will be ready sooner.
