Is relocating to Dubai as a Chartered Accountant or MBA professional a good idea amidst global recession concerns? Dubai's diversified economy, especially in finance and real estate, offers stability. With no personal income tax and ongoing demand for skilled professionals, could this be a smart move for career growth, given Dubai’s resilience compared to recession-affected regions?

Hi everyone, I joined a start up where I joined as an intern and moved on to be a Business Analyst. I've worked with marketing and HR, but as it is a tech firm I haven't really interacted with the really technical aspect of it. How many firms is too many? I’ve practiced 13 years. Since I was a 1st year associate, every 3 years or so I’ve been recruited for another opportunity that is hard to pass up. I’ve been at my current firm 3 years and got the call again, again about an opportunity that is hard to pass up. I don’t like having a reputation of a flight risk, but this keeps happening. Should I decline to pursue the opportunity just so I have a longer track record at my current firm? This will be my 4th if I move.

Monday Morning rumination: unsolicited advise is criticism.

Much to reflect on with this topic. Last week I was told in a 1:1 with a new contact that I was “too direct”. After some time chewing on the conversation I was struggling to place the emotions I was feeling. Turns out I was feeling guilty and shame for being me, for taking up space. Lesson of the week: unsolicited advice is a criticism of you, a micro aggression of who you are, and being “too much”. What would you do??
