Is the UK Climate Risk and Decarbonisation consulting talent market saturated (particularly in Big4)? 2021/22 witnessed a hiring spree of climate change consultants but the Big 4 haven't hired in a while. Would love to hear if you think this is a blip due to the 2023 economic reality or if the market is saturated after all that hiring from 2 years ago and it's unlikely we'll see much movement soon. For reference, I have 2,5 yrs of experience in the field and am looking for roles in that level.

Do people know if the big 4 are all wfh and onboarding that way as well? Or have they started setting return to office dates?

I’m a 9th year in a mostly litigation-based practice group at a one-tier partnership firm. My group’s billable hours have been low the last few years, so making partner will be nearly impossible, and a counsel position is not viable long-term in my group. What’s the best option here if partnership is the ultimate goal? Wondering where I should focus us as a services industry for big impact: we have a large product innovation, digital engineering area, and know in the past we've had a lot of lip service to clients and only recorded ESG for their compliance.

Hoping to make a big difference and include CSR/Sust audits and projects beyond for our clients! Any tips?

Most of my letters are from known experts. They want me to submit independent expert letters from people who can talk about the significance of my work to the Financial & Management field and US interest, from non-familiar persons.
