Drop cam/Nest is great
I use the infant optics dxr-8. It does not use Wi-Fi so you can’t watch on your phone (have to use their little monitor), but we like it so far. Plan to being it on a weekend trip in a few weeks as well.
I have this one and it always gives error messages. I want to love it but honestly I hate it.
Potentially unpopular opinion but I’d stay away from the nanit. Got it for my second and it’s the bane of my existence at the moment. Ours is super buggy. I miss the optics mentioned above for my first.
For travel, if you have an old phone you can just download a baby monitor app or if you want to go particularly lo fi for just a night or two we used to just call my husband phone, leave mine in the room with baby, and he’s keep his on speaker and mute it.
I have the nanit and I love it. No connectivity issues. Love the free year of analytics. This includes sleep/nap schedules and videos that can be saved.
Love nest so I can see them at work or traveling. And I can rewind and see things from before (like where they hid my phone)
Lollipop travels well
