If you’re white like me it’s so important to realize that we were raised in a society where institutionalized racism is normalized, and we were born with privilege. You can’t choose the color of your skin, but you can choose to put ego aside and reflect on why this isn’t happening to me, and be vocal about being anti-racist.

My experience is a months worth of your salary for every year you’ve worked there. In Germany though.
Companies don’t really care more here, but government worker protections are better, thanks to a lot of union work.
To be fair, the US also has salary expectations that are ridiculous here - we’ve had people apply from New York with NY-salary expectations that are easily 30-50k higher than normal rates here.
My experience is one week severance for each FULL year you’ve worked there. But companies are not legally obligated to give severance
Agreed. Omnicom and IPG both 1 week per year. Two weeks total if you're with the agency for one year.
Did you get laid off today?
I hope it’s just talk ... Thinking of you guys
Depends on where you’re at, but my agency was two weeks severance for every year you worked there...
Totally depends... some companies go by the book and two weeks/year is pretty much the norm. Other agencies will consider what youve contributed, your seniority, life situation etx and give months. Really depends on agency leadership and $$
I’ve gotten laid off twice. First place gave me 2 weeks/year worked. Second place gave everyone a week of pay regardless of time at the company.
