Is there any advantage for being in "data analytics" versus becoming a "data scientist"? I'm a business guy who has self-taught myself how to code by automating processes in my previous consulting roles and shifted to analytics. I feel like I'm reaching a dead-end from a comp-perspective, however, because my job is mostly ETL using Python/PBI and then creating presentations to stakeholders on what to do. I feel like I need to pivot to DS to make real money ($250K)+. Thoughts on this?

I have an offer for a Director of IT Compliance role. Small/mid size company and in MCOL, I have +12 YOE. Base salary in the offer is 160k and annual bonus 20-45k (depends on company performance). Any thoughts on the offer? I’m inclined to ask for a base of 170k since not in rush to change jobs.

I've been almost 3 years in my previous company and never have I ever tasted any raise from them. I got transferred to different accounts and LOB it was so exhausting and finally when I decided to leave and send my resignation my Supervisor be like "you know you should be thankful of your job" To be honest the job was very stressful and supervisor at some point is somehow toxic but thankful I get to take my leave.
