Need some feedback! So I was forced to move jobs about 6 months ago due to reorg and the new leader opting to bring their existing EA with them, without even meeting me. Working at a boutique transactiona firm. First year did not receive much guidance and made a few errors, one of which could have been a deal but ended up being fine but overall I worked hard, billed hours above target and showed a willingness to learn. Three main partners in the group. Using declare, set function in SQL and in my declare function I am returning the following error:
“Cannot coerce expression (SELECT SUM(…”

Can’t find anywhere as to what this error means.

Although when I run the set query by itself, the sql does run correctly. But the error seems to occur when I add the SET function and using an open and close parenthesis around the query I am setting my
