So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?
I am currently interviewing at TikTok for the Content Partnerships Lead role. Can anyone share some insight into the salary bands in the Sub-Saharan African market? Should I benchmark with the global rates?
Any tips and experiences interviewing in this region are also welcome - and highly appreciated! :)
I’m an L6 SDM at Amazon but a Meta recruiter sent me an M2 sdm job description. I have all the XP I need from previous job experience but does Meta keep your same level as Amazon? Meaning if I am an L6 at Amazon am I automatically interviewing at M1 or can I jump to an M2?Amazon Facebook (Meta)

Also Vocational Rehab seems like a decent thing to explore

Tell him to check out SAP NS2’s “Boots to Suits” program. They train vets and certify them on an SAP module then help place them in a job. I think it’s completely paid for. Pre-COVID they relocated them for training and paid for housing and also paid a living stipend per month. Not sure how the logistics works now though

What area/locale? What industry? What skill set? Cleared work?
DAV, ClearanceJobs, USAJobs, etc. are avenues. Or it could be as easy as knowing someone in his network.
There are also free resume services for Vets. I have a friend who runs one if you need it.
I can help him out DM me on Monday happy to lend a hand
What was his last rate/rank? Did he retire? What’s the disability? You don’t need to answer but some of the easiest things for vets to do is get back in “uniform.” As in JROTC’s, Military High School programs. This is my current role and have enjoyed every second of it. Super easy. Also, tell him to just go to a VFW, I’ve met so many vet entrepreneurs at a VFW that are hiring personnel and there’s no resume, no application process, just a direct hire.
If you can tie the unemployability to the disability, VR&E will pay for school and certs.
WWP has a program that could help.
