Is there any relationship between how much seller credit can be given towards closing cost and LLPA(loan-level price adjustment)? My seller is paying for the cost of discount points( let’s say it is X) and giving it as a seller credit. But in lender’s disclosure document I see lender have mentioned seller credit as X-2000. He is saying that “The seller can only cover the (X-2000).You have to cover what is called loan-level price adjustments. But If you make 25% downpayment then he can .. contd.

Refinanced my house last month and just got a $5k check for the property tax escrow balance from my old loan. My plan was to use that to put down on the new loan (new lender funded the property tax) but I’m wondering if I should just invest it? My rate interest rate is below 3%. Anything I am missing here? So my fiancée and I are relatively late in terms of finally landing well paying jobs and being able to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. We’re both 36 and currently rent a 2 bedroom in NY and have a combined savings of $35,000 which she wants to use as a down payment on a condo. I kinda just wanna continue saving while renting. I also literally just started contributing to my 401K so I’m also late in the game for that too.

However, with todays prices and interest, will it make more sense to rent out our current home and rent a home ourselves vs. selling and buying immediately when we move?
