Creddle.io is very helpful in revamping it. Additionally I used word bank generators. I find a job I want, copy and paste the description in the generator, and go through my resume using the words I feel like help my resume sound more appealing for financial analysts roles.
I use the app resume star on iPhone for a simple resume then I click submit resume and save to files / open in iBooks and I get a simple resume saved as a pdf
Novo resume is what I use, I get really good feedback and lots of templates. If you connect on LinkedIn I’m open to being a sounding board as you make updates and want some feedback.
Indeed.com has resources for improving a résumé. Everything from videos and articles to paid services to either review or create a new résumé from scratch. I paid to have mine reviewed since it’s been years since I last looked for employment. They sent me a video and notes/recommendations within a day. After posting the updated copy, I started getting contacts a couple days later.

First define what "modern way" means to you and what your goal is regarding the resume perhaps thinking of why you have not been tracking your performance and abilities for such time and why you want to now or why you havent been working will help determine and build meaningful goals and actually shape the substance of the resume to avoid mechanical and generic texts. I tried the pay route and while there were improvements there was no real redraft to take it to the next level. Next i used Chat GPT to rephase experience section by section after loading three target job descriptions. This tightened up the language into phrasing I may not have used.

Microsoft Word 365 had an Editor feature that will offer corrections and suggestions that will make your resume (hopefully) stand out among the rest. Now I say hopefully, only because Indeed.com can also use your profile as a downloadable resume. Make sure all you put in both are the exact same content. It will make you look ridiculous if your profile says one thing, and you hand/email a resume that different. Indeed also has features to explain any gaps, such as career breaks due to laid off or other reasons. That way all time has been accounted for;however, whether you have been doing this awhile or starting after a long time, the job search is no better than before. Before if you didn't get the job, an email, postcard, or letter would tell you. but I received a notice from Indeed (I don't know why) that the automatic replies are no longer in effect. Meaning that the easy and responsible task of informing someone that he/she didn't get the job will no longer be available. I wouldn't trust AI technology, because it might tell someone you can't do anything yourself, or deceive your potential employers. Just remember to send a thank-you email after interviews if they went well, and if not or your gut is telling you that something is off, just end the interview and send nothing.
