Hey guys, do you have some suggestions as to who to hire to professionally redo my resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile as a newby to US job market and someone who wants to enroll in analyst and finance jobs?

How do you explain a small resume gap?

When you recruiters say at the end of a 15 min call.
“I will get back to you by the end of this week” does that really mean “your not right for this position”? Because this whole thing is a waste of time. I’ve did these calls with 3 recruiters and is yet to hear back from someone. Today would be the 4th recruiter that I’ve spoken to. Does this practice annoy you guys just as much as it does us? My dream career is to be a technical recruiter but this whole thing is discouraging.

I was a non traditional student - I do have a job lined up in private practice. Im not particularly fond of the practice area but its decent paying for entry level. I’ve been lay off this afternoon because low performance, it just two weeks ago I talked to my manager and told her that she’s micromanaging me a lot and I need more autonomy at my work. I didn’t like what they’ve done to me specially I’ve been redundant from the previous role before joining this company. Can someone share your thought of how to deal with this situation. I am completely lost in terms of my mental health. Not able to overcome and accept this situation. I think this is right place to ask, as we all are going through the same.

Was laid off in Sept. Unfortunately we will be seeing many more coming. It's what happens in a recession. Unfortunately I now also have my age against me. Not in a mentally good place at the moment.

Any advice on networking to find a new role? I've worked in the same place for so long and I'm not sure how to get started.

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭
