This has been discussed since before COVID, "seasonal" respiratory infections likely due to a drop in Sun exposure, vitamin D levels. I have been beating this drum for years, so simple to get your levels up, yet if not a new expensive pharmaceutical too few think it can be effective. I test once a year, most recently used a mail order lab, easy and effective! Vitamin D is, and has been forever a part of the FLCCC COVID protocols for both prevention and treatment, recently updated to dose based on current D levels. All research driven!
Any research on whether Vit D supplements work or does it have to be naturally acquired?
I had Covid the November before we had a vaccine. I got it and only had a little stomach upset. And fatigue. I figured that I was blessed because I have some health “things” and got a light case. Though I did have episode of acute renal failure that Dec 31. I ended up in hospital and with fluids IV got better. Of course I have a consistently increased BUN.And have to drink a lot f fluid daily.
But, anyway I take elderberry every day for a very long time now and high dose Vitamin D3 weekly.
My level was around 68 at the time I got Covid.
I think I could have had it a lot worse if my Vit D3 had been below measurable like when I first started Vit D3.
