Hi All, Today I've resigned and my LOD is 2 Sept. Can anyone please let me know for these 90 days salary would be credited only after FnF. Or June'22 salary will be credited as usual, however, July and September salary would be credited during FnF. Please confirm or suggest.

9 years at $45k in NY!? That is truly criminal. You need to change companies, now. I made that mistake early in my career and it’s my buggiest regret. I finally started speaking up for myself and switched companies about 3 years in. I instantly went from $35k to $60k. Switched back to my previous company after only 8 months and they hired me back at $65k. After two more years, I was at $90k then $110k a year after that. I was at a large holding company, but in a much cheaper market than NYC. Please start looking out for yourself and your financial future. Even if you love your company, if they love you back they should be paying you to be able to live and eat.
I agree with the above response. You are definitely overdue to make appropriate money for your tenure and in NY. Moving makes a difference so you can make more money. I started out in media planning and jumped agencies about 7 years in. From $45k to $75k and that was not in NY and over 15 years ago. It’s time to explore your options.
Wow. Definitely jump ship if you can. You’re woefully underpaid. My starting salary after college as a Programmatic Trader in NYC was $50k. Moved to another agency after a 1.1 years for $70k. And then moved to a planner role at a publisher a year after that for $100k salary. AMA.
Can we connect? I’m a senior programmatic trader at an agency. I have been here two years and make 65k I’m trying to see what my next move should be.
I agree with everyone above but want to add if you wish to stay with your company, take those offers back to your company and let them know others see your value. They may want to match or even promote you. In this industry, vertical movement in position and pay has to be done by handraising and showing to your company that others see your value, just my opinion though. I understand how nerve wrecking it can be but try shifting your perspective. Instead of being fearful, be excited that you’re advocating for yourself and being your own cheerleader😊
I’m very curious what those 9yrs encompassed. If all 9 years were as a media planner, I’m concerned about how you’ve progressed. Did you not have a career path? How have your annual reviews gone? You should have all the ammo you need to either ask for a raise or look for a new role. But being a media planner for 9yrs would be a red flag with recruiters and hiring managers. You’ll need to unpack that yourself or w a trusted friend, peer, or family member.
Move to another agency and apply for either media planner or senior media planner roles-whatever is above what you’re doing now! You can also apply to vendor roles because you’re not limited to agency roles
There is more to life than salary. Your disloyalty towards your boss and the company is unnerving. Best to keep your head down and plug along in service to the company.
This is satire right
Yeah I’m a bit confused here. I’ve been in planning for 5.5 years and I’m a director making $150K. Something isn’t adding up here. You should be an AD at this point at an absolute minimum.
Thank you ☺️
