Hi Fishes,
Does Deloitte USI have any cool down period, if you apply and do not get any response from the company? I had previously applied in a role, but didn't hear back from them. So, I'm planning to try to apply via referral this time and I'm wondering if I should use the same e-mail ID or a different one! Deloitte USI
This is my story. Think and act

I work in industry and when I’m bored at my job, i shop online or clean the house 😂
Am In industry tax, not every industry job is boring (but I'm sure some are) If it's your first non PA job and you are scared of being bored, you have been brainwashed to think that way and it's not your fault
I think it's always worth trying, it's not going to be hard to go back to public accounting if you don't like it
It is so worth it to have your life back!
Do it. I just made the switch 5 months ago
Me too!!
I made the switch after 10+ years. It’s not as fast pace and challenging as my public accounting role but it’s so nice to be able to complete my to do list, prioritize healthy eating, get time to work out, and then shut my computer and really engage with my kids without distraction.
It's honestly incredible you made it to 10 years.
I don't think industry has to be boring (except IA or other compliance roles). Just depends on company and role. No need to be scared. Use the experience you've gotten up to this point to score an awesome role. Nothing is stopping you from returning to public one day if you don't like industry. But the way better pay/hours on top of doing way more interesting work (in my case) are tough to beat.

Many industry jobs are boring but not all. Especially with 10 years experience you will be looking at higher level roles. Apply at companies that are growing and have more complex operations. I’ve worked for a large grocer ($1B in annual sales) and large mortgage servicer ($2B in annual revenue) and the mortgage servicer is WAY more complex. After I thought I knew almost everything the pandemic hit and changed all the rules and some of our accounting.
