I’ve been following up with my recruiter via email for 4 weeks now, and have been ghosted since my interview 4 weeks ago. Can i cold call my recruiter, or should I keep going through email?

Stick to emails. You're not the only candidate the recruiter is working with. When you cold call, they might be in the middle of another interview, or might be supporting another candidate going through a virtual interview. Save the cold calls for when you're in here and need information from that customer contact who keeps pushing the meeting.

If I were you I would send a text to the recruiter instead, especially if there’s no response by Wednesday.

I’m sorry to hear that OP. I would give the recruiter the benefit of the doubt. I’d assume they have a lot on their plate or don’t have a concrete update yet from the hiring team. At least you put it on the recruiters radar. I would suggest sending another email follow up early next week.

Also, the position on LinkedIn now says “no longer accepting applications”

It changes from recruiter to recruiter. I happened to get an amazing one, and she would call me weekly to check in even when there were no updates. Don't worry, Google is slow.

I only just started a process but my recruiter told me during a call that I can call him at the same number if I have questions

This appears to be pretty standard for Google. It sucks but there's no need to worry until you hit around 8 weeks.

Is there anyone else out there who keeps getting ghosted by agencies after interviewing for jobs? I've been applying to jobs for months. I've constantly been changing my approach and techniques. Yet I keep getting ghosted by agencies - sometimes even after I reach out asking for an update. I guess I just gotta assume that my acceptance email got lost and move on. 😂

Mask off: Journalist to freelance copywriter. Started working full-time under contract for an agency that won't hire me. I've freelanced for agencies and in-house marketing teams, but I'm always the outsider looking in. I want to transition to a full-time permanent gig. Interviews seem to go well, 2 agencies went to 3 interviews and nothing. I know I'm totally missing something that agency insiders would understand. Would love advice on navigating uncharted territory. Thank you!

I started a new job a month ago and I think I've made a huge mistake. I wanted work life balance, went to a well-known company that has a reputation for it, and have quickly learned that this will be quite the opposite. I am beginning to panic. How do I deal with applying for jobs, specifically the issue of "erasing" this job from my work history without getting in trouble? I feel weird stating that my last job is my "present" one but is there any other option?

Hey everyone! Second year Deloitte analyst and I’ve been interviewing elsewhere, like many others. Just got told from the recruiter that I will be getting an offer from Apple as a Program Manager in San Jose (big jump lol). Right now I’m living in a MCOL city working remote, but I would need to move for this role (eventually lol). Any ideas on comp, living costs, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I’ve never been out to San Jose or San Francisco, so I’d appreciate any advice or DMs of any sort! Deloitte

So I applied to Accenture M&A for manager level. I had 2.5 years at D doing M&A as SC, plus 2.5 years prior in an ops consulting role. Spent last 4.5 years in Corp strategy (no deals though) team overseas. Had two great interviews with SMs. 2nd one spent his time convincing me to not try for SM and stick to M. Anyways, after MD interview I hear back they want to offer me C level. I told them no, and to check if they would reconsider. WTF happened?Accenture
