Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Hello, anyone here who can guide regarding the interview process and preparation for Google Cloud Migration Consultant role?
Do they have the hiring committee and team match processes for India hiring as well or is it more straightforward?
Recruitment team has reached out and scheduled the first round and I am extremely nervous!!!*bites nails*

In my experience working at award-obsessed shops, the pay is lower than average because they can dangle the award carrot at you.
With that said, one thing that you can do is really communicate your passion for the work and industry. Shops that chase awards love seeing candidates who have a spark in their eye when nerding out about ads and the job. They want people who are happy to give up weekends for the work. They want people driven to overwhelm clients with proactive ideas. If you can craft a narrative around living and loving the work, it’ll go a long way in their eyes.
Thank you for the thoughtful response, W+K 1! Will definitely keep this in mind.
SC1, totally hear you. I do value a reasonable W/L balance, but one benefit of not wanting kids is that I don’t have to worry about family planning as it relates to work goals. Totally understand the need to consider timelines like that though! And at the end of the day, no job is worth *totally* putting your life on hold for.
I know awards can be a controversial topic, but I’m out here trying to pay off my student loans and finally afford an in-unit W/D, ya know? 😉
I’m in the same boat, I like my book, I’ve worked in big agencies, but I don’t have awards.
I have some projects in there that I think would have won stuff if submitted. In interviews I get positive feedback and no one’s brought up not having awards…. BUT I want to be really conscious next time I do something good to push for it to be submitted.
In the meantime, did any of your work receive press? You can highlight the press you received on each project or even have a press section on your resume/about like people do with awards, and that might help
Yesss!!! Same. I’m confident a few pieces would’ve won something if the agency had submitted them. I guess it can be a ‘right place, right time’ thing, too.
Featuring press is a great alternative. I can’t say I’ve got much to show in that department either but maybe it’s a matter of doing a proper Internet dive 😭
Thanks for your perspective and happy award hunting! I’m rooting for you.

I would communicate that you’re hungry to win awards.
Never won or chased awards. Never regretted it.

Go to a shop that’s obsessed with winning awards. I did and it worked.
