Hello All, I have offer in hand of 27.5 LPA+15% variable from ZS Associates as a BT Solutions delivery consultant and now my current company is ready to retain me by matching the offer & assuring that they will send me onsite to UK in couple of months. I’m not sold on the new format either. Seems very gimmicky and I don’t see the sporting rationale for it.
At the very least, they shouldn’t do these on street tracks with higher probabilities of damage.

Agree. I want to see the best cars and drivers in the world, tuned to the best abilities of the engineers. A natural hiccup like weather, breakdown, etc provides enough spice for me.
It’s funny to me that we are all taught that good product development involves customer input and providing answers for customer wants/needs. I have yet to hear one single F1 fan that likes this BS new format. Pure money grab that is adding nothing and detracting from the sport (I’m a newer fan but still - no fans asked for this that I have heard of)
I love the Sprints. Many people I know do as well. Any time they can race instead of boring equivalent of time trials I'm happy.
I think people complain about the sprint too much. While I don't think it's that great, for me it doesn't detract from the Grand Prix itself. Why not experiment with something new? If it doesn't work, at least you tried.
I agree they shouldn't be doing them on street circuits though.
Fair, to each his own. Quali on Friday isn't a big deal, yes I miss it live because of work but I'll just watch it on F1TV after work.
If I go live, I'll take time off anyway so I'd see stuff on Friday.
The biggest problem with the sprint is that it's just a preview of what to expect the next day. Might as well not have the GP because the only thing different is tire strategy and that's not what I'm here for.
This is why I watch MotoGP and World SBK in addition to F1
